The GEL-CUMULUST 23 shoe aims to ensure an even smoother and softer ride while implementing gender-specific technology in male and female models.

Continuing to draw inspiration from cumulus clouds, we rethought the upper and midsole formation of this neutral running shoe by applying a more holistic design approach that adapts to the anatomy of the running runner. Wrapping the foot with an even greater soft feel, the elaborate knit upper adds strategic support in targeted areas while leaving some fibers more open to improve breathability.

The upper works closely with the movement of the midsole, creating a smoother stride from support to release. To improve cushioning and flexibility, we've added 3D SPACE STRUCTURE to the top layer of the midsole. This technology is implemented through a series of strategically placed pillars within the midsole, allowing runners to experience greater compression in a specific area without reducing durability or stability. These pillar formations are regulated differently in men's and women's models to respond to biomechanical data of each gender.
By helping runners to adequately compress foam as they stride, this shoe promotes a smoother ride and improves shock absorption. A softer unit with GELT technology is positioned under the heel to improve cushioning while the FLYTEFOAMT material of the midsole helps to give the run greater fluidity and support. Featuring a sustainable compound outsole, ASICS LITE Rubber is soft and designed to improve durability in high impact areas.
